Why We Love It
1. Flexible Living Spaces. The flexibility of a 3-level split works well for a lot of buyers today because finding some extra living space in this price range is something nobody tends to complain about. Whether you need an extra hang out cave, media room, or playroom, you'll find that the finished lower level is the perfect compliment to home's primary living room.
2. Exposed Beams. From the moment you step in the door, the beams on this ceiling jump out at you. I love how they highlight the vaulted ceilings spanning the living room and kitchen. They are a great architectural and design feature and they easily lend themselves to help make any decorating style pop. It’s definitely not something you see every day, especially at this price point.
3. Bright Kitchen. The beams I mentioned above carry right into one of my favorite rooms in the house, the eat-in kitchen. The bright white cabinets and tile backsplash perfectly offset the stainless steel appliances and butcher block countertops, as well as the updated flooring and newly added wainscotting on the walls. The wine and pot rack above the sink is a nice touch and the updated lighting really gives this space its finishing touch.
What You Need To Know
Located near the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Brentwood Estates in the city of Gahanna, this 1,354 square foot, 3-level split has just the right updated touches for the new owners to enjoy.
The current owners love this established neighborhood and its proximity to many local parks including the beautiful Creekside Park in downtown Gahanna.
Walking up the front path from the driveway, you will find the perfect spot for a couple of lounge chairs to sit in the shade provided by the mature tree in the front yard.
Entry Level: Stepping in the front door, you are greeted with decorative wood beams (one of my favorite things) that span the vaulted ceilings of the entire first level. A large front window floods the living room with natural light, while neutral paint and newer carpet will lend itself to any decor.
The light from the sliding glass door on the back of the home draws you into the bright, eat-in kitchen. The kitchen, as I mentioned above, has updated flooring, stainless steel appliances, white cabinets, some butcher block countertops, and a tile backsplash.
Upper Level: Heading up the short staircase, you'll find a full bathroom with updates that include new flooring, vanity, wainscoting, and a newer toilet. There is a surprisingly large linen closet here as well.
Down the hall, you will find the home's three bedrooms, all with plenty of natural light and hardwood floors.
Lower Level: Heading down the short staircase from the entry level, you will find that flexible living space I spoke about above. The room is quite large with a couple of windows to help brighten the area and a large brick fireplace. This area would be great for a playroom, office, extra TV room, or whatever needs you may have.
Next to the lower level living space, you will find the large laundry area/mechanical room as well as the home's half bath.
Finishing off this room is a door with a walk-up to the backyard. This is nice if you are outside and get muddy or dirty; you can come straight thru to the laundry area with no need to track the dirt thru the rest of the house.
Exterior: The backyard is a great size and fully fenced-in.
There is a large concrete patio, with plenty of room for your dining table, grill, and even a gazebo (as you can see).
The yard provides enough space for some cornhole, volleyball, or even a pool if you wanted.
The large storage shed is perfect for your yard equipment and the brand-new swing set is ready and waiting to be enjoyed.
Last, but not least, is the one-car garage, which has some room for storage along the back wall. There is a door to the backyard as well, which can come in handy if you need some tools or gasoline for the mower.
