Why We Love It
1. "Flipped Open" Floor Plan. This open concept home has a flipped floor plan from how we've usually seen it over the years. When you walk into the home you are greeted by 2-story vaulted ceilings in the dining room. This dining area then flows into a living area that is centered around the fireplace. We usually see these two spaces reversed... but this makes so much more sense to us. Your eat-in kitchen is adjacent to the living area as well. This floor plan is great for entertaining as your guests will naturally gravitate to the dining room table that will probably become more used as a social table than for formal dining.
2. Finished Basement. We're willing to bet that most of you really want a basement that's already finished, but you agreed to take it off your "must have" list in order to actually find a home in this market. Well put it back on the list. This finished basement has enough space for an additional media room or a home gym... and that’s before I even tell you there is a separate room that could serve as a 4th bedroom, office, craft room, etc. A potential 4th bathroom awaits finishing down here as well. Welcome back to the "must have" list, finished basement!
3. Backyard. Your open concept entertaining flows right out the sliding glass doors into the fenced-in backyard. Our current owners enjoyed spending time outside and decided to step it up a notch and install a brand new stamped concrete patio with built-in fire pit. It’s so new, they haven't even had a chance to break it in. With warmer days right around the corner, you get to be the one who enjoys it.
What You Need To Know
This M/I-built 2-story home has 1,956 square feet (plus the finished basement) and is located in Cedar Run. There is a large community park just down the street.
First Floor: As soon as you step inside, the massive 2-story dining room commands your attention (yes, I said 2-story dining room). Dinner parties, game nights, or simple conversations with friends will all take place here... and they'll become a recurring tradition because it's the perfect setting. The dining room is open to the living room creating one large great room with separate spaces defined by furniture placement.
Your living room is centered around a gas fireplace that is framed on either side by windows. The beautiful bamboo floors carry throughout this level and our owners have added an area rug here to soften the space.
The eat-in kitchen is up next. It features a center island (perfect for prep work), stainless steel appliances, a fancy no-hands faucet, tile back splash, and glass pantry doors. Your everyday kitchen table has a great view onto the patio.
Finishing of this level is a half bath and laundry room.
Much of the home just received a fresh coat of paint.
Second Floor: Heading up the open baluster staircase, you arrive at the large loft area. This space lends itself to many different uses such as a play room, office, or lounge area.
Your large owner's suite has a walk-in closet and your private bathroom has a double vanity, a stand alone shower, and soaking tub. The unique ceiling fan in your bedroom will draw the eye up to the vaulted ceilings here as well.
Finishing off the 2nd floor we have 2 spare bedrooms and another full bath that is shared by both.
Finished Basement: When life calls for 3 levels of living space, your soon-to-be home can deliver. You can create another media space, a rec room, or have room for a home gym. There is a separate room with carpet that could serve as an additional bedroom or a quiet office.
Plus a room has already been built and roughed-in for another full bathroom. You'll just need to finish the remaining work (but you can take credit for the whole thing).
Backyard: Out the sliding glass door is your backyard, complete with a brand new stamped concrete patio and built-in fire pit. Even with the addition of the patio, this fenced-in backyard has plenty of grass to run around and enjoy during the warmer months.
