Why We Love It
1. Huntington Hills
Located just outside of city limits in Violet Township, but still within the Pickerington school district, Huntington Hills is a highly sought-after area to call home. This established community - full of beautiful homes and mature trees - looks like something from a story when driving through. Huntington Hills offers walking trails, sand volleyball, a park with playground, tennis and basketball courts as well as several activities throughout the year for its residents. You’ll also have the option of joining the community pool. All of the information for events, bylaws, recreation, etc. can be found on their website.
2. It's a Charmer
From the finished look of the side loading garage and the inviting front porch outside, to its accent walls and built-in shelving inside, this home is far from mediocre. Oak hardwood flooring and a woodburning fireplace add warmth to the family room and you’ll find other charming details like beautiful cherry cabinets, a bay window, and a coat cubby with seating and storage, just to name a few.
3. Shiny New Things
We all love it when things are shiny and new... and this 43 year old home is full of them! A stainless refrigerator, dishwasher, and a radon mitigation system were added in 2017. In 2019, new carpet in the living room while upstairs the master bath received its own updates. This year, 2020, the furnace, A/C, and water heater were all replaced. Not wanting to leave out the ½ bath it received its very own updates too. Still to come this year, in the next couple weeks, new gutters and downspouts will be installed.
What You Need To Know
Pulling up the driveway to the side load garage, you can't help but love the mature trees and the covered front porch.
First Floor
Step inside through the double entry doors onto the oak flooring. Hang up your jacket and have a seat while you kick off your shoes.
If you’ve had a long day and need to relax, you won’t have to go far. Just head to your right and find a comfy spot in the living room. Select a book from the shelves or just sit back and enjoy the natural light flowing through the windows. Keep an eye out for birds and squirrels that were frequent visitors while I was there.
Once you’ve regained some energy, take a short cut through the adjoining dining room and head for the kitchen. If you are the chef of the house you may end up here for a while as this will most likely be your favorite area of the home. Cherry cabinets, granite countertops, stainless appliances, a movable island, and an elegant backsplash are the perfect background and inspiration to whip up any gourmet meal.
Grab a bottle of wine from the built-in rack and gather around the kitchen table in the eat-in space.
The family room is only steps away and offers the perfect spot to wind down for the night. Start a fire in the wood-burning fireplace that has bookcases built-in on each side.
Second Floor
Head upstairs when you're ready to retire to your owner's suite. The master offers a full updated bath and his-and-hers closets.
Just down the hall are three more bedrooms and another full bath.
Basement
This home offers more space in the finished lower level that is perfect for a play area, man cave, craft room, or that treadmill we all (plan to) use.
It has two separate finished rooms so it’s very versatile and can be for mix use.
The utility area has its own space that is unfinished and has room for extra storage.
Exterior
If you’d rather head out for some fresh air, but don't want to venture to the walking paths or park, you have a large fenced-in backyard waiting for you.
The patio area will accommodate your favorite outdoor furniture or you can also roast some s’mores while sitting around the fire. After all, you worked hard on that dinner so you can let others make their own dessert.
