A Story about Jack and Sarah


Jack and Sarah live in the same neighborhood, with identical floor plans. Both decide it’s time to sell their homes, so they interview local Realtors.

Jack thinks (like many people) that all Realtors are pretty much the same. He chooses the agent offering the lowest commission and feels good about saving money upfront.

Sarah has a different perspective (as people like us do). She knows that how a home is marketed can make a big difference, so she chooses an agent whose marketing truly stands out.

Fast forward: both of their homes sell, and everyone is happy.

Jack is happy because he saved $4,000 on commission.

Sarah, however, is thrilled. Her agent’s marketing helped her home sell for $9,000 more than Jack’s, meaning she walked away with $5,000 more in her pocket—despite paying a higher commission.
